$23•$41 / hour (Heavily Dependent on Experience) Position Summary The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of industrial machine tools and shop equipment. This hands-on role involves working from complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to ensure machinery operates at peak performance. The technician will install, align, and relocate machines as needed, conduct preventive maintenance, and respond to equipment issues with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate brings 5-10 years of relevant experience, strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with inspection tools, and a team-oriented mindset to support a safe, efficient, and high-performing manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and technical aptitude, a team-first mentality, and the ability to work independently while supporting a fast-paced, precision-driven manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of machine tools with minimal supervision. Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete maintenance tasks accurately. Identify and request parts or components necessary to complete repairs efficiently. Install, relocate, level, and align new or existing machinery using precision inspection equipment. Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime. Fill out accurate Maintenance Work Requests and records of service performed. Maintain a clean and safe work area while identifying potential hazards. Collaborate with other maintenance and repair staff to complete larger projects. Support emergency call-ins, shift changes, and overtime as needed. Required Experience / Skills Proficiency in interpreting complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics. Skilled in using micrometers, indicators, electronic levels, and other precision measurement tools. Highly proficient with hand tools and power tools required for industrial maintenance. Basic understanding of electrical circuits and schematics (preferred but not required). Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and active listening. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. 5-10 years of experience in machine maintenance or industrial equipment repair. Demonstrated experience working independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team. Preferred Experience / Skills Experience within a manufacturing, defense, or aerospace setting preferred Experience with machine tooling highly desired Location & Clearance Requirements Rockford, IL Positions require Government background screening and clearance.

Compensation & Benefits Compensation:

$23•$41 / hour (Heavily Dependent on Experience)

Shifts:

There are day, mid, night & weekend shifts•4•10 hour day week
