$20 - 28 Overview We are seeking a skilled Screw Machinist to operate multi-spindle screw machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves machining metal bar stock , reading blueprints , and setting up tooling for precision production. Key Responsibilities Operate multi-spindle screw machines to perform turning, boring, threading, and facing Read and interpret blueprints and specifications Select cutting tools, speeds, and feed rates based on materials and job requirements Install and adjust cams, gears, collets, and tooling Monitor machine operation and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges Perform basic troubleshooting and tool changes Qualifications Experience operating screw machines (Davenport or similar) Strong ability to read blueprints and machining drawings Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and shop math Experience with measuring instruments Ability to stand, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment Why Join ✅ Stable manufacturing environment ✅ Opportunity to grow your machining skills ✅ Work with a skilled and experienced team Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Glendale Heights, IL.
