$18- $22/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor pistachio huller machinery, ensuring proper removal of hulls from freshly harvested nuts. Adjust huller settings to optimize throughput, cleanliness, and minimal nut damage. Inspect incoming loads for foreign material, excess moisture, or poor-quality products. Coordinate with the Harvest Team and forklift operators for continuous production flow. Conduct routine checks on belts, rollers, water systems, and dehulling equipment. Record and report throughput rates, downtime, and quality issues. Clean and sanitize hulling equipment daily or as needed, following food safety and sanitation protocols. Identify mechanical issues early and report them to maintenance for prompt repair. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), PPE requirements, and safety policies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating pistachio or nut hulling equipment preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work long shifts during harvest season, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Comfortable working in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments. Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in agricultural processing, especially pistachios, almonds, or walnuts. Familiarity with automated or semi-automated hulling systems.
