Machine Operator / Forklift Operator

Overview Alford Metals is seeking a skilled and safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our team in our fast-paced Red Oak warehouse. This role is essential for keeping our materials moving efficiently and ensuring our steel and other products are handled with care. The right candidate will bring strong warehouse experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Schedule & Pay Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Compensation:

Competitive, based on experience Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move steel and related materials. Use RF scanners and follow order-picking procedures to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Assist with shipping and receiving, ensuring all inbound and outbound materials are processed correctly. Work closely with warehouse supervisors and team members to improve efficiency and workflow. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Perform heavy lifting as required, using proper safety techniques. Experience & Qualifications Previous warehouse experience required, with a focus on material handling and order picking. Familiarity with warehouse management systems preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while following proper safety guidelines. Why Join Alford Metals?
