Job Description

Seeking a sheet metal Operator to Operate machines in metal fabrication. 1st shift 7:00AM to 3:30
PM Monday- Friday Responsibilities:
Participate as team member to help with preparation and finishing as required, including but not limited to assembly, shearing, punching, press brake, polishing, and detailing using hand and power tools to a high standard Indicate fixturing, including zero & reference points; set tool registers, offsets, and compensation Make tool selections based on job set up documents, monitor and adjust tool offsets to maintain part accuracy, verify first-piece inspection and perform in-process quality checks Use logic, reasoning, and troubleshooting skills to identify problems Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers and other measurement devices Provide excellent communication to ensure a high level of efficiency Measure and examine completed work to verify conformance to specifications Perform all fabrication tasks in the agreed upon time frames or better Update color coding of working timeliness with appropriate green, yellow, and red stickers Perform and/or notify Operations Manager of any required maintenance for machinery Use PPE for appropriate safety and protection Must maintain appropriate protection equipment Participate in process improvement Provide input into design improvements and new designs Report drawing errors Work with management to set operations goals and standards for continuous improvement Participate in other metal fabrication duties as required/requested by Operations Manager Maintain a well-kept and tidy work area including floor, flat services, machinery and tooling Must be ready to work, in appropriate attire and with the required PPE experience operating laser equipment or sheet metal machine #ZR 336844
