Position Summary:

As a Machinist, you will play a key role in fabricating, modifying, and inspecting components for mission-critical applications. You will work with both CNC and manual machines, interpret technical documentation, and contribute to process improvements in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and tool design documentation.
• Fabricate, modify, and assemble tooling and components to precise specifications.
• Operate Hurco CNC machines (conversational programming) and manual equipment such as Bridgeport Series 1, lathes, and drill presses.
• Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments to ensure quality and tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and maintain machinery, ensuring optimal performance.
• Design and create fixtures to improve machining repeatability and efficiency.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to supervisors.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools for diverse manufacturing tasks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on machining experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Prior experience operating CNC machines via conversational programming. Experience using a Hurco CNC machine ideal.
• Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in team environments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day and lift at least 45 lbs.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
• Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
• Adaptability to fluid and dynamic work environments.
• Willingness to mentor and support skill growth in others.
