Beeler industries, an established manufacturer and supplier of tree nut process systems, is looking for a talented apprentice machinist. The apprentice roles and responsibilities include: Read and interpret detailed project plans, CAD drawings, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to determine the dimensions and tolerances of the desired parts. Must be able to choose the appropriate machine tools (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders) and adjust them for the specific task. Responsible for preparing materials to include measuring, marking, and securing the workpiece on the machine. Must be able to operate machine tools to control the cutting, grinding, and shaping processes to achieve the desired dimensions and tolerances. Closely monitors the machining process, adjusting feed rates, speeds, and other settings as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify that the finished part meets the required specifications. Identify any defects or inconsistencies and take corrective action, which may involve further machining or repair. Clean, lubricate, and perform minor repairs on the machines to ensure they are in good working order. Keep records of production and quality control. May work with engineers and other machinists to resolve design or production issues. Maintain a clean and organized working area. This position is responsible for maintaining and following safety, best practices and policies, and quality control. Responsible for addressing any faulty components and/or mistakes in the process and addressing them with management to ensure issues are successfully corrected. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs. Other physical requirements include walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting.

Working Conditions:

An important part of this position is the ability to work overtime as required by the needs of the business. Works mostly indoors and in varying temperature conditions. Exposure to loud environments. Work schedule is

Mon-Thurs:

6:00 AM•4:30 PM;

Optional Fri:

6:00 AM•2:30 PM. Occasional Saturdays and/or Sundays as needed.

Pay Range:

$25•$32 per hour

Qualifications:

Must be able to pass a written test High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Machinist certificate from a trade school or CNC experience
