Machinist

Job Summary We are actively seeking Machinists for direct hire, permanent positions near Marissa, IL. We are hiring both CNC Machinists and Manual Machinists to support a precision machining and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining milling and lathe equipment while ensuring quality, efficiency, and production standards are met. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling and/or CNC lathe machines based on production requirements Set up and operate manual milling and/or manual lathe equipment for precision machining work Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Perform machine adjustments, tool changes, and routine troubleshooting as needed Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools Maintain part quality and ensure work meets customer specifications Support production schedules and communicate machining or quality issues to supervision Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Requirements Previous experience operating CNC milling and/or CNC lathe machines for CNC Machinist roles Previous experience operating manual milling and/or manual lathe machines for Manual Machinist roles Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment High school diploma or equivalent preferred Stable work history in machining, manufacturing, or metalworking environments #GRP2 Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
