Job Description

The Facilities Department is seeking a highly organized and dependable Temporary Logistics Support Coordinator to support daily logistics and facilities operations across multiple agency locations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong hands-on and organizational skills, and is capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting large-scale relocation and facilities projects. This role serves as a key member of the logistics team and works closely with agency staff, vendors, landlords, and IT personnel to ensure efficient operational support throughout assigned facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail within assigned buildings. Deliver packages received from courier services such as UPS and FedEx to appropriate agencies and departments. Set up and break down conference rooms for meetings and agency events. Assist with office modular furniture setup and breakdown as needed. Support logistical coordination for office relocations and facilities projects. Travel between multiple locations, including: 1 Ashburton Place, Boston 40 Broad Street, Boston 100 Hancock Street, Quincy Collaborate effectively with multiple agencies and support teams. Input and maintain data within the CA Facilities ticketing system. Assist the Facilities Support Manager with day-to-day operational and logistical tasks.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Comfortable using hand tools including cordless drills, levels, and tape measures. Ability to lift and move 35-50 pounds regularly. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between work sites. Basic computer and data entry skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in logistics, facilities support, mailroom operations, or office moves. Familiarity with facilities management or ticketing systems. Experience supporting multi-site operations.
Work Environment:
This position involves active physical work, including lifting, moving equipment, setting up office spaces, and traveling between facilities. Candidates should be comfortable performing both administrative and hands-on operational tasks.
Pay:
$15.50 - $16.45 per hour
