This position works as part of the LPA Maintenance team to ensure that our fleet is safe and runs efficiently. Licensed Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic performs maintenance, inspections, and repairs on assigned aircraft. The following duties are intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and are not intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by the employees in this classification. As a team we strive to live out our company mission of being a blessing to everyone that walks through our doors, including teammates, clients, and vendors. Duties The A&P Mechanic reports to the Director of Maintenance. This is a non-supervisory position. Performs all airframe, power plant and propeller repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements. Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting. Approves aircraft for return to service after scheduled or unscheduled maintenance for which they are authorized and qualified. Reports all inoperative or faulty equipment to the D.O.M. Ensures that hangar workshops, and other areas assigned are maintained in an orderly manner. Accurately completes all required maintenance records. Requires the ability to independently perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively. Performs other duties as may be required Requirements Preference given to any experience on type aircraft:
C206, A36, C208B, PA-18, PC-12,PT6A-140 & PT6A-67B
Turbine Engines. Valid A&P license and valid driver's license. Must adhere to the company's FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations. Knowledge of Operations Specifications. Knowledge of Flight Manuals and other instructions pertinent to assigned duties.
