Job Description

Overview The Aircraft Mechanic I is a critical part of our safety effort and performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on SkyWarrior aircraft. This position must follow all FAR and manufacturer guidance to ensure all aircraft leaving Maintenance are airworthy. Responsibilities Performs maintenance on Single/Twin Reciprocating Engine aircraft. Responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Comply with written customer and company maintenance and logistics procedures and policies. Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable. Comply with aircraft records procedures. Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures. Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software. Maintain a clean and organized workplace. After training and approval, perform engine run or taxi operations. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications Must have three (3) years documented experience as a practicing aircraft mechanic. A or P license required and will be considered equivalent to 18 months of experience. High School degree or equivalent required IA, preferred Valid State Driver License Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude. Work Schedule Tuesday
  • Saturday and Sunday
  • Thursday. Shifts vary from 0400am
