- All on board Federal Employees/Technicians within the ALANG (T32 and T5, Permanent and Excepted Indefinite) Duties Help (1) Ensures all aircrew flight equipment meets strict airworthiness criteria and th it will sustain comb operions/readiness by inspecting, testing, calibring, certifying, diagnostic evaluing, troubleshooting, repairing/replacing, assembling and disassembling all Aircrew Flight Equipment, aircrew chemical/biological defense equipment, and aircraft ejection/non-ejection systems.

communicion transceivers; Quick Draw electronic surveillance and interrogion equipment; Base Stion-2 SARSAT/SATCOM CSAR chart plotter, Personnel Locor Beacons; Global Positioning Systems; Infrared Signaling Devices; Rescue Strobe Lights; Pyrotechnics and various other survival items; Combined Advanced Technology Enhanced Design "G" Ensemble (COMBAT EDGE) system which is a Positive Pressure for G (PBG) and oxygen system for accelerion (+4 to +9) protection altitudes of 50,000 ft; Multiple Oxygen Mask Systems with Explosive Passive Anti Drowning Devices installed for incapacited aircrew/passengers upon wer entry; and multiple Life Sustaining Flotion Systems (Life Rafts/Life Preservers) which use self-infling systems and explosive devices for incapacited aircrew/passengers upon wer entry. (2) Conducts formal academic classroom and technical instruction for all pilots, aircrew, passengers (aircraft maintenance personnel, dignitaries, civilian search and rescue agencies, etc.) on: Global Survival, Comb Search and Rescue Training; Wer Survival Training; High Risk Isolion (HRI); Ejection/Non-ejection Se Egress Training; Emergency Parachute Procedural Descent Training, utilizing a ste of the art virtual reality trainer; Aircrew Chemical Defense Equipment, utilizing the Aircrew Eye Respirory Protection System (AERPS), which is an aircraft-integred, self-contained oxygen and filtrion system with aircraft-integred electronics, communicions and oxygen capabilities; Aircrew Chemical/Biological Control Area Decontaminion procedures; and Aircrew Chemical Defense task qualificion training. (3) Utilizes, maintains, and updes multiple computer main frame programs/da bases to analyze, troubleshoot, schedule, and maintain inspection and accountability reports/documention on all aircrew/aircraft life support and aircrew chemical-biological defense equipment. (4) Utilizes Equipment and Financial Processing Systems. Reviews Allowance Source Codes and Fed log and inities and sends supply documents. Coordines with SBSS, Equipment Managers, Contracting offices, Resource Advisors, Financial Working Groups, Financial Management Board, and Depot Level Repairable (DLR) analyst. (5) Orders Technical Orders (T.O.'s), receives/updes T.O. changes, files and distributes T.O.'s, performs inventories and checks, orders compliance and modificion items, performs Interim Time Compliance Technical Order (ITCTO), Operional and Safety Supplement changes to all affected equipment, performs T.O. Familiarizion, and records and documents approprie forms. Improves T.O.'s by evaluing areas in need of modificion, completes and submits approprie forms. (6) May be required to perform additional duties such as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operion, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a team member on boards to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. Experience or training which has demonstred knowledge of aviion life support equipment. Experience reading and interpreting military manuals. Experience in supply procedures and property accountability. Experience collecting informion and presenting it to various sized groups. Experience in planning a functional shop maintenance program is essential.SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE
- -Knowledge and understanding of all aircrew flight equipment and chemical/biological defense equipment utilized by the units aircrew to ensure aircrew flight equipment/ components meet airworthiness criteria, opere within specified tolerances and in the proper sequence, and are mission ready to support the requirements of day-to-day operion as well as sustained critical comb operions.
- -Ability to inspect, test, calibre, certify, evalue, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, overhaul, assemble, replace, as necessary, and issue life support parts and equipment.
- -Ability to install, remove, and inspect all aircrew flight equipment on the unit aircraft.
- -Ability to utilize a variety of complex, ste of the art diagnostic testers/systems/specialty tools to test, troubleshoot, and repair all aircrew flight equipment utilized by the unit.
- -Ability to perform precision soldering on flexible circuit boards to repair/replace defective parts.
- -Ability and certificion to plan, organize, develop, direct, implement, conduct, and evalue formal academic classroom and technical instruction on a wide variety of life support topics to provide initial and recurring training for all aircrew and passengers.
- -Knowledge of and ability to utilize multiple computer main frame programs/da bases.
- -Knowledge of merials handling, inventorying, and supply procedures to store and maintain adeque supplies of aircrew flight function parts and equipment.
- -Knowledge of and certificion in handling, shipping, storing, and ordering multiple hazardous merials to include munitions/ammunition assets.
- -Skill and ability in the operion of merials handling equipment utilized in receipt, storage, and shipment of the unit life support supplies and equipment.
- -Ability to plan unscheduled work when detailed specificions are not available and take measurements for articles of various shapes and sizes.
- -Knowledge of fabricion mhemics, to include fractions, equions, and plane measurements to make problemical calculions.
- Expertise to fit items to spaces or locions with unique parameters, unusual shapes, or obstructions.
- -Thorough knowledge of all types of common fibers, blends, fabrics, and finishes to include a knowledge of performance and handling characteristics such as dimensional stability, abrasion resistance, and he sensitivity, to select merials to meet particular needs.
- -Ability to substitute merials when the precise type or weight desired is not available.
