Job Title:
A&P/AOG Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team at the OnSite Aircraft Maintenance location, primarily situated at Midway Airport. The role involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting on corporate and private aircraft both in the hangar and on the road during AOG rotations. You may also be required to float to other company locations working on commercial aircraft or those associated with our flight school as needed. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on corporate/private aircraft in the hangar and on the road during AOG rotations. Participate in weekly on-call AOG rotations with the rest of the staff. Manage projects you are attached to, providing updates to all parties on maintenance progress. Communicate with passengers, owners, maintenance control teams, and other individuals to ensure aircraft are returned to service efficiently. Essential Skills A&P License Experience with AOG operations Ability to communicate effectively with corporate flight departments, maintenance controllers, and customers. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience on corporate/private airframes. Proficiency in quality written and documentation skills exceeding standard logbooks. Work Environment The work environment involves a weekly schedule of 7 on/7 off on-call rotations for travel, including weekend work and after-hours assignments. When not on call, standard hangar work occurs Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with flexibility required. The company is committed to quality and quick return to service turnaround times. The role involves travel within a roughly 300-mile radius, primarily in Chicago but extending to cities like Kansas City, Nashville, and Des Moines. You will work as part of a team during AOG calls, and the hangar is non-climate controlled. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. On Site is positioned to grow in 2025 and are positioned to grow their AOG business.
