F-16 Aircraft Maintenance Technician Multiple Disciplines | Skybridge Aviation
  • Mesa, AZ Skybridge Aviation is seeking experienced F-16 Aircraft Maintenance Technicians across multiple disciplines to support fighter aircraft maintenance operations in Mesa, Arizona.
We are actively hiring in the following specialties: Avionics Electricians Structures Fuel Cell Crew Chiefs These are direct-hire opportunities offering competitive pay, strong benefits, and long-term career opportunities. Candidates must hold a Level 7 qualification with direct F-16 experience in their respective discipline. The company will cover the cost for qualified candidates to obtain their FAA A&P license if they do not currently have one. No personal tools are required to start. Key Responsibilities by Discipline Avionics Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and modifications on F-16 avionics systems Work with systems including radar, navigation, communications, weapons control, and flight control electronics Inspect avionics components and wiring for defects such as loose connections, damaged wiring, or improper installation Test avionics systems using diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital meters, circuit analyzers, and counters Calibrate installed or repaired avionics equipment to required specifications Assist with fabrication and installation of wiring harnesses as required Electricians Troubleshoot, repair, and modify F-16 electrical systems including wiring, connectors, circuit breakers, and power distribution Fabricate, install, and route electrical wiring harnesses throughout the airframe Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and functional checks on aircraft electrical systems Operate ground power units and electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) Support integration of electrical power systems with avionics, flight controls, and weapons systems Structures Perform structural inspections, repairs, and modifications on F-16 airframe components including fuselage, wings, control surfaces, and empennage Identify and assess structural damage such as cracks, corrosion, dents, and fastener failures Execute sheet metal fabrication including cutting, forming, drilling, and riveting of repair parts corrosion prevention and control (CPAC) treatments to structural surfaces Read and interpret engineering drawings, repair schemes, and technical orders Fuel Cell Perform maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of F-16 fuel systems including internal fuel cells, bladders, and plumbing Perform fuel cell entry operations in compliance with confined space and hazardous materials safety protocols fuel tank sealant and coatings per technical orders and engineering specifications Pressure test fuel systems and perform leak checks following maintenance actions Inspect and replace fuel system components including valves, pumps, fuel quantity probes, and lines Crew Chiefs Serve as primary point of accountability for the overall maintenance condition and airworthiness of assigned F-16 aircraft Perform pre-flight, post-flight, thru-flight, and phase inspections Conduct aircraft servicing including fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, liquid oxygen (LOX), and tire pressure Launch and recover aircraft including taxi direction, safety pin installation/removal, and ground marshalling Coordinate and supervise specialist maintenance activities performed on assigned aircraft Manage aircraft Time Change Items (TCI) and scheduled inspection requirements
Job Requirements:
Responsibilities Common to All Disciplines technical manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation Conduct operational testing under simulated or live conditions to verify system performance and airworthiness Operate applicable ground support equipment Coordinate with program leadership, engineering teams, and military or customer representatives Maintain accurate maintenance records in compliance with applicable regulations Perform additional duties as assigned to support aircraft readiness Qualifications Direct hands-on F-16 maintenance experience required in at least one of the disciplines listed above Minimum experience: Level 7 qualification with direct F-16 experience in applicable discipline High School Diploma or GED required FAA A&P License preferred but not required Candidates without an A&P must be willing to obtain certification within 180 days of hire (the company will pay for it) Work Environment and Requirements Candidates may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Work will be performed in a military aviation maintenance environment Domestic and international travel may be required Benefits Competitive compensation 11 Paid Holidays 15 Days PTO Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with company match Benefits available after 30 days 401(k) eligibility after 60 days A&P certification paid for by the company No tools required Now (Job and company information not to be copied, shared, scraped, or otherwise disseminated/distributed without explicit consent of ) Now Job Info Location Phoenix, Arizona, USA Type Permanent Relocation Relocation package offered Salary Range $42/hr
