Job Description

STS Line Maintenance is hiring Lead A&P Mechanics in Phoenix, Arizona. STS Line Maintenance is seeking experienced Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to support and grow our line maintenance station in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, the Lead A&P Maintenance Technician supports daily maintenance operations, helps manage the workforce, and ensures customer maintenance requirements are met with safe, reliable, and high-quality service. Position Overview The Lead A&P Mechanic reports directly to the Station Manager and works closely with airlines, flight crews, Aircraft Maintenance Controllers, and station personnel. This position supports hands-on line maintenance operations while helping ensure technicians have the direction and support needed to meet customer requirements. Job Responsibilities Help manage the workforce to ensure required maintenance needs are met in support of customer requirements Work closely with field airlines, flight crews, Aircraft Maintenance Controllers, and station leadership Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity in all maintenance activities Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results Follow maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documentation Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and determine repair or replacement needs Perform additional duties as required to support station operations Work outdoors and in inclement weather as required Perform work on
B737NG/MAX, A320
family, E145, E170, and E175 aircraft Qualifications Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required No history of A&P infractions Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft considered a plus Must own a standard set of line maintenance tools Calibrated and specialty tooling will be provided Minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Lead Technician in a line maintenance environment working on commercial and/or large regional aircraft Minimum of 5 years of previous experience working on commercial and large regional aircraft Self-motivated with a positive attitude Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to stand, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations Ability to pass background check, drug and alcohol test, and Customs and Border Patrol clearance Basic to mid-level computer and organizational skills Experience working under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 environment highly desired Inspection Authorization License is a plus Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft airframe and engine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required Strong customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic Compensation Rate of pay is determined by previous experience Yearly raises available upon evaluation Benefits Full-time employees are eligible for PTO, health insurance, and 401(k) No benefits are available for part-time positions About STS Line Maintenance STS Line Maintenance is one of the largest line maintenance support providers in the United States, offering quality and reliable aircraft line maintenance and servicing through an extensive rapid-response nationwide network.
