Job Description
Job Summary
Skyrise Aviation is seeking a certified A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our active and growing flight-training fleet.
A current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate is required. Previous experience with our specific aircraft types is not required, as on-the-job training will be provided.
This is an on-site position based at Sacramento Mather Airport. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced flight-school environment where aircraft availability and minimizing downtime are essential.
Requirements
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft
Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and repairs
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics-related discrepancies
Complete maintenance records and required documentation accurately and promptly
Review and comply with applicable Airworthiness Directives, service bulletins, manufacturer guidance, and FAA requirements
Assist with parts, tooling, and maintenance planning as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional maintenance environment
Support continuous improvement in maintenance procedures, fleet reliability, and safety practices
Qualifications
Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
Knowledge of FAA maintenance regulations and aircraft documentation requirements
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, technical publications, service bulletins, and maintenance records
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with flight operations and instructional staff
Willingness to learn and complete on-the-job training for Skyrise Aviation's aircraft and maintenance procedures
Previous general aviation or flight-school maintenance experience is helpful but not required
Experience with Diamond, Cirrus, or Light Sport Aircraft is helpful but not required
