$31.23/hr About the Role We are seeking a skilled A&P Mechanic to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft mechanical and electrical systems. This role involves working on complex airframe and engine systems across fixed and rotary wing aircraft, as well as related ground support equipment. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, and engineering specifications. Key Responsibilities Perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft mechanical and electrical systems. Conduct preventive maintenance on airframe, engines, and related systems. Interpret and work from engineering drawings, technical manuals, and fabrication documents. Assist in the development and refinement of engineering drawings as needed. Install and troubleshoot mechanical systems on military and FAA-certified aircraft (fixed and rotary wing). Perform sheet metal modifications and structural repairs. Utilize hand tools, air tools, and precision measuring equipment to complete tasks. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations and safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities. Required Qualifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (mandatory) High School Diploma or GED Minimum 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and aircraft manuals Proficiency with: Hand tools and air tools Aircraft maintenance documentation and procedures Ability to obtain a security clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience with heavy aircraft maintenance Familiarity with
DC-9 / MD-80
