Job Title:
A&P Mechanic - Rotational Job Description We are seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to oversee the field maintenance of S-61 helicopters, primarily supporting firefighting operations on the West Coast and throughout the western United States. This role involves rotational schedules with travel and lodging provided, along with per-diem for meals and incidentals. The season runs from mid-March to October, with the option to continue working in the hangar during the off-season. Responsibilities Perform field maintenance on S-61 helicopters used for firefighting support. Travel to various locations primarily on the West Coast and western US. Ensure helicopters meet safety and operational standards. Conduct inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on airframes and aircraft systems. Maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles. Comply with FAA DOT safety-sensitive requirements and submit to DOT physicals. Essential Skills A&P license with 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience. 3+ months of helicopter maintenance experience. Proficient in inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems. Ability to maintain a clean driving record. Eligibility for FAA DOT safety-sensitive hire. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Eurocopter and rotary systems. Familiarity with basic tools in a travel bag. Why Work Here?
