Job Requirements Eglin AFB, FL Secret Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description The Aircraft Technician II (Technician) will apply intermediate to advanced level maintenance for F-16 aircraft. Reporting to the section Lead, the Technician ensures all tasks are executed efficiently and in alignment with company goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with Company policies, procedures, core values, and FAA airworthiness standards, train subordinates accordingly. Adhere to OSHA and OH&S requirements, use proper use of PPE, safety systems, and tools. Perform maintenance and repair of aircraft components including engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, electrical, and mechanical systems. Use technical data, maintenance manuals, and blueprints to diagnose and resolve equipment or aircraft malfunctions. Demonstrate thorough knowledge in aircraft systems, electrical theory, unique tools, maintenance documentation, and ground equipment operation. Assist in scheduling, material support coordination, and overall production management. Optimize resource utilization to help meet contractual and organizational objectives. Communicate supply and equipment levels; report shortages and ensure timely resolution. Communicate aircraft discrepancies and corrective actions to aircrew prior to departure. Demonstrate proper housekeeping in and around aircraft, hangars and breakroom. Demonstrate strict tool accountability throughout all phases of the maintenance process by properly controlling, tracking, and documenting tools, and immediately reporting any damaged, missing, or unserviceable tools in accordance with Company policy. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Proven skill in assigned maintenance specialty and deep familiarity with aircraft systems. Ability to work independently and within a team while demonstrating sound judgment and attention to detail. Skilled in interpreting technical documents, maintenance procedures, and blueprints. Proficient in the English language with effective communication and mentoring skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred. Must demonstrate safe and healthy workplace practices. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to travel within the US and internationally. Must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of an Aircraft Technician II in daily work performance. Must be able to work in various weather environments and conditions. Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and not be barred from any installation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS FAA
Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) certification a plus
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum5years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience. In-depth maintenance experience with F-16 or similar aircraft platforms strongly preferred. Familiarity with FAA regulations, particularly 14 CFR 91 & 135, is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, talk, walk, hear, see, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This role is performed around loud noises and hazardous chemicals with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The Aircraft Technician Lead must be able to work in environments with exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, and varying weather conditions.
