Aircraft Mechanic III- Lead
Job Description:

OVERVIEW/DUTIES/DESCRIPTION
Performs/supervises repairs and maintenance functions on fighter aircraft Performs post-flight, preflight, thru-flight, phase and depot inspections Detects and advises problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting aircraft, removed components and related aerospace equipment Use technical data to diagnose and solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems Interprets/advises on maintenance procedures/policies to repair aircraft, parts and equipment Troubleshoots and maintains aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment Removes, installs and performs operational checks aircraft components Maintains, rebuilds and/or overhauls aircraft components according to technical data Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems Supervises and performs aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations Complete other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED Must speak, read, write, and understand English Must have at least 7 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience Must be willing to travel up to 25 of the time Must be able to work day shift, night shift, weekends as required Must have an in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives, aircraft/vehicle movement, flight line operations, aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications (read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematics, diagrams, drawings and technical orders) Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel Obtain/maintain aircraft/equipment Red X/IPI certification Obtain/maintain security clearance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily work in a hangar and flight line environment Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly Qualifications
