•Miami, FL (Onsite) Company Overview Our client is an FAA Part 135 certificated air carrier and the premier cargo specialist based at Miami International Airport (MIA). Operating daily scheduled and charter cargo flights connecting South Florida, the Caribbean, and Latin America, they keep critical logistics moving safely and on time. We are seeking two skilled A&P Aircraft Mechanics specializing in Embraer ERJ-145 line maintenance to join their night shift operations in Miami, FL. If you are a dedicated regional jet mechanic who thrives in fast-paced line maintenance environments, excels at troubleshooting, and values a robust compensation package, this is an outstanding long-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities Line Maintenance Operations:
Perform rapid-turn line maintenance, overnight servicing, daily/weekly inspections, A-checks, and MEL troubleshooting on ERJ-145 regional jets and Saab 340 turboprops.
System Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform mechanical, power plant (Rolls-Royce AE 3007), electrical, and avionics system repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer maintenance manuals.
Airworthiness Documentation:
Accurately complete all aircraft logbooks, work orders, and return-to-service releases compliant with 14 CFR Part 43 and Part 135 repair station procedures.
Tooling & Equipment Care:
Utilize personal basic hand tools along with provided specialty shop tooling, diagnostic equipment, and ground support gear.
Field Service Support:
Maintain readiness for occasional short-duration travel on company aircraft to perform line maintenance outstation support across Caribbean destinations as operational needs arise.
Requirements & Qualifications Mandatory Requirements:
Licensure:
Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate in good standing. Must meet 14 CFR 65.83 recent experience requirements. ERJ-145
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent post-graduation hands-on maintenance experience specifically on Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft.
Badge & Background Clearances:
Must be able to successfully pass a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and comprehensive criminal background checks required for Miami International Airport (MIA) SIDA badging and US Customs & Border Protection clearances.
Basic Tool Set Required:
Must possess standard basic A&P hand tools (wrenches up to 1", socket sets, ratchets, etc). (A comprehensive, detailed master tool list will be provided to candidates).
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance, bend, squat, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in outdoor airport tarmac environments subject to heat, noise, and weather.
Preferred Qualifications:
Avionics troubleshooting experience (e.g., Honeywell Primus 1000 systems) or active FCC license. Hands-on maintenance experience with Saab 340 turboprop aircraft.
