Job Description

Position Summary Hera Flight is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our Part 135 maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with both the Cessna Citation X and Gulfstream GIV aircraft, demonstrate advanced troubleshooting capabilities, and have a proven track record performing inspections, repairs, and unscheduled maintenance in a fast-paced charter environment. This position requires a maintenance professional who is comfortable managing Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations, coordinating maintenance events under tight timelines, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and aircraft reliability. Key ResponsibilitiesAircraft Maintenance & Inspections Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Citation X and Gulfstream GIV aircraft. Conduct inspections in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer maintenance manuals, and company procedures. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, avionics, hydraulic, and environmental system discrepancies. Perform repairs, component replacements, functional checks, and return-to-service procedures. Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately and completely. AOG Response & Troubleshooting Respond to AOG events as required, including after-hours, weekends, and travel when necessary. Develop repair plans and identify practical solutions to minimize aircraft downtime. Communicate maintenance status updates to flight operations and management. Regulatory Compliance Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, Part 135 requirements, and company maintenance programs. Ensure aircraft records, logbooks, and maintenance tracking systems remain current and accurate. Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, and conformity reviews. Promote and support the company's Safety Management System (SMS). Team Collaboration Work closely with pilots, operations personnel, vendors, and management to maintain fleet readiness. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians as needed. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and maintenance efficiency. Required Qualifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate. Minimum 5 years of corporate aviation maintenance experience.
Strong maintenance experience on both:
Cessna Citation X Gulfstream GIV Extensive troubleshooting and diagnostic experience. Experience performing major and minor inspections. Working knowledge of Part 135 maintenance requirements and operational environments. Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, IPCs, and technical publications. Strong organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed for AOG support. Preferred Qualifications Citation X factory training. Gulfstream GIV factory training. Inspection Authorization (IA). Experience with CAMP, Corridor, or similar maintenance tracking software. Previous lead technician or maintenance supervisory experience. Familiarity with SMS and aviation quality assurance programs. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in hangar and ramp environments under varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders, access aircraft structures, and work in confined spaces. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when operationally required.
