Job Description
Job Summary We're a growing, family-oriented general aviation maintenance shop at Albert Whitted Airport looking for a motivated, mechanically inclined A&P technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and values safety above all else. Our shop offers a positive, laid-back atmosphere where hard work is appreciated, ideas are welcomed, and every day brings something different. We maintain a variety of piston aircraft and believe in doing the job right the first time. Duties Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and power systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies. Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying problems affecting aircraft performance or safety. Fabricate or modify parts using sheet metal work, welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet repair or assembly requirements. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) related to aircraft maintenance and repair. Support ongoing equipment repair projects involving welding, fabrication, calibration of precision instruments, and troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues. Requirements Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification is required. (IA is a plus) 5+ years of General Aviation experience. Strong knowledge of aviation systems including airframes, engines, avionics. Beechcraft and Cirrus experience is a plus. Hands-on experience with welding, soldering, sheet metal fabrication, preferred. Electrical experience including working with schematics, multimeters (ammeters), ohmmeters, and circuit troubleshooting is desirable. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) related to aircraft maintenance is essential. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail.
