) 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft Sheet Metal experience and/or Low Observable (LO) Coatings application experience and trainingUSAF AFSC
(5 or 7 Skill Level), Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or equivalent Minimum 5 years of relevant experienceSKILLS MATRIX

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings, technical manuals, and structural repair manuals; understand engineering symbols, flags, general notes, and reference locations (station, butt-line, waterline) Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, standard scales) and operate hand/power tools (drills, angle motors, shears, drill press, pneumatic riveters) Fabricate aircraft detail parts (shims, splices, gussets, angles, brackets, doublers, stiffeners, patches) and use shop aids to support assembly and installation Perform complex bonding of parts, assemblies, and materials where methods/tooling are limited; determine fabrication and assembly methods while maintaining critical dimensions, contours, and tolerances Inspect installed materials for specification compliance, perform repairs/modifications, set up and operate material testers/mixers, and record repair data for future reference Create and improvise shop aids; perform trimming, filing, drilling, riveting, reforming, fitting parts, and removing burrs/surface imperfections Maintain a clean, safe, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD- free work environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
F-22 and/or F-35 aircraft experience Low Observable (LO) Coatings application experience and formal trainingPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Supports LO restoration and aircraft modifications; must wear required PPE (full-face respirator, Tyvek suits, protective gloves, other safety equipment).Education:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.Schedule:
