Slate Aviation is a leading provider of private charter services, specializing in VIP charter services along with Shuttle Service to various locations. With a commitment to safety, exceptional service, and attention to detail, we cater to discerning travelers seeking a seamless and personalized flying experience. We are looking to fill multiple Aircraft Technician positions at our Macon, GA facility.
Position Summary:
This Heavy Maintenance Aircraft Technician position will report to the Macon Maintenance Manager. The aircraft technician will be responsible for completing aircraft inspections and heavy checks. etc. This position requires the technician to display a professional demeanor and strong communication skills. Must possess adequate knowledge of Corporate Aircraft and be familiar with the Bombardier Challenger, CRJ-200 Line of Aircraft. This challenging position is key to providing TSC Operation with a safe, well maintained, reliable aircraft. Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Perform incoming inspections on corporate aviation aircraft. Perform maintenance on a variety of aircraft configurations. Perform a wide range of maintenance duties to include inspections, repair, and servicing of aircraft. Perform maintenance IAW with FAA approved technical data and Tri State GMM guidelines. Perform heavy checks and maintenance of all Slate Aviation aircraft on the schedule. Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Maintenance hangar/shop cleanup, organization, and basic office duties. Accurately complete all appropriate maintenance, work order, and paperwork. Review and ensure all required entries into the aircraft electronic computer systems IAW GMM requirements. Operate and maintain company vehicles. Any additional task directed by the DOM, Asst.
DOM, Maintenance Manager Required Qualifications:
Education:
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have an A&P certification
Experience:
Must have at least (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience.
Skills/Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks. Must be flexible and read for changes in schedules and plans. Ability to adhere to strict time schedules, attendance policies, and appearance standards are non-negotiable. Must be 21 years of age. Must have a current, valid driver's license. Must have own tools.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing Ability to be willing to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet in the air) using fall protection safety gear when required. Ability to operate basic hand tools and ground equipment Ability to work in confined spaces Must regularly be able to lift up to 70 pounds
