Job Description

A&P Helicopter Mechanic - Full Time Jack Harter Helicopters is seeking a full-time FAA-certificated A&P Helicopter Mechanic to join our maintenance team at Lihue Airport on the Island of Kauai, Hawaii. The successful candidate will work directly under the Director of Maintenance and will help maintain a fleet consisting of four MD500E helicopters and one Airbus AS350B2 helicopter operating year-round under FAR Parts 135, 133, 136, and 91. We are looking for a dependable, safety-oriented professional who is organized, punctual, and capable of working independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Location Lihue Airport Kauai, Hawaii Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with applicable FARs, company procedures, and manufacturer instructions. Conduct daily, post-flight, and through-flight inspections. Troubleshoot, repair, and return aircraft to service. Perform inspections, repairs, component changes, and overhauls as required. Maintain aircraft logbooks, status reports, and maintenance records. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and approved technical data. Maintain hangar facilities, tooling, and equipment. Assist with quality control and review completed maintenance tasks for accuracy and completeness. Work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, and occasional night maintenance depending on operational requirements. Benefits Paid vacation Medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance for employee paid 100% by Jack Harter Helicopters 401(k) plan with company matching contributions Minimum Requirements FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate At least one year of recent full-time aircraft maintenance experience High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Legal authorization to work in the United States Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform climbing, kneeling, stretching, and other physical activities required for aircraft maintenance Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Helicopter maintenance experience Experience maintaining Airbus AS350B2 and/or MD500E helicopters Experience with Safran Arriel 1D1 and/or Rolls-Royce 250-C20 engines Knowledge of turbine helicopter airframes, engines, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, and electrical systems Additional Information This position is intended for an experienced A&P mechanic. We are not currently seeking apprentice mechanics. Applicants must already possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
