Aircraft Service Technician (SkillBridge Program)

This role supports aircraft inspections, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of aircraft systems. Hourly Rate:

$25.00-$45.00/hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and scheduled aircraft inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and company maintenance programs.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aircraft systems.

Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure aircraft remain safe, airworthy, and mission ready.

Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and maintenance documentation.

Remove, repair, and reinstall aircraft components, including flight controls, landing gear, access panels, and related systems.

Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify discrepancies and verify system performance.

Complete maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation accurately.

Collaborate with inspectors, technicians, and supervisors to complete maintenance projects safely and efficiently.

Maintain compliance with all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling guidelines.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

4+ years of aircraft maintenance, mechanical systems repair, or technical troubleshooting experience

Experience working in an MRO, airline, or aerospace maintenance environment

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or currently enrolled in an A&P program

Familiarity with FAA Part 145 maintenance operations and documentation

Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and regulatory documentation

Experience using hand tools, power tools, and aircraft diagnostic equipment

Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and work order completion

Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality workmanship

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Physical & Other Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in confined spaces and noisy maintenance environments

Ability to maintain a required aircraft tool inventory

Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport AOA Badge

Occasional travel may be required

Ability to work overtime and various shifts based on operational needs
