Job Overview Chicago Executive Flight School is a Part 61 aviation training center committed to excellence in pilot education and safety in the Chicago area since 1992. We are seeking a part time Cessna Aircraft Mechanic to help out on an as needed basis to complete projects ranging from basic cosmetic work to possibly completing 100 hour exams. Flexible Schedules Aircraft Discounts Responsibilities:
Replace cracked plastic pieces on Cessna aircraft. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Cessna aircraft according to FAA regulations and manufacturer guidelines (e.g. changing tires, fixing window latches, oil changes, etc...). Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness. Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements. Follow safety measures, good shop practices and cleanliness standards. Ensure that all aircraft documentation is completed accurately per company and FAA procedures prior to aircraft departure. Additional duties assigned
Qualifications:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification. Experience working as an aircraft mechanic, with a focus on Cessna aircraft. Strong knowledge of Cessna aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures. Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times. Must embrace a culture of aviation safety and professionalism. Knowledge of various flight instruction instrumentation and equipment. Ability to push, pull, bend, lift, and carry objects including the repositioning of fixed wing aircraft using tow bar or tug.
