Corporate A&P Aircraft Technician - Chicagoland Area
Job Description:
This position involves being part of a corporate aircraft maintenance team working under an FAA 145 Repair Station. It entails performing hands-on maintenance on our customers' corporate aircraft fleet, as well as fulfilling occasional flight technician duties when required. Candidates must have an enthusiastic demeanor with the ability to communicate in a professional manner as well as possessing a broad skill set, sharp troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn and grow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections. Working with a team to perform general to complex maintenance tasks and inspections on aircraft and related systems. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including AOG support and troubleshooting/repair. Perform removal, installation, and replacement of aircraft components and systems. Troubleshoot aircraft electrical, avionics, and connectivity systems. Perform routine servicing of aircraft systems and components. Provide occasional flight technician coverage on a rotational basis, to include domestic and international travel with aircraft or advance travel for maintenance support. Occasional offsite coverage of maintenance performed away from home base. Complete accurate documentation, logbook entries, and return-to-service sign-offs in accordance with FAA regulations. Utilize maintenance tracking software (e.g., Veryon) to document all work performed.Job Requirements:
Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65. Minimum of 3 years of current experience maintaining, inspecting, and repairing corporate aircraft. Experience with Challenger 600 series and/or Boeing 737 a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to work second shift and a rotational weekend schedule. Minimum Qualifications Airframe and Powerplant license. High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Aviation Technology (preferred). Basic computer skills and experience with aviation maintenance software programs. Must possess a valid driver's license.
