Available for those that qualify Job Summary We are seeking Senior Avionics Modification Technicians to support a high-visibility ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) defense aviation program. This role focuses on hands-on avionics modifications, wire harness work, and system integration on military-configured special mission aircraft. This is modification work, not flight-line maintenance. Key Responsibilities Perform avionics modifications, installations, and system integrations Terminate wiring, install cannon plugs, and perform pinning and crimping Build, route, and install wire harness bundles Install LRUs, antennas, sensors, and cockpit avionics Read and work from engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Perform continuity checks, functional testing, and troubleshooting Document all work per FAA, military, and OEM standards Work closely with engineering, quality, and program leadership to meet schedules Requirements Required Experience & Skills 8+ years of avionics modification or installation experience Experience on military, ISR, or special mission aircraft strongly preferred Proven hands-on experience with: Termination Cannon plugs Pinning & crimping Wire routing and wire harness bundle installation Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation manuals Familiarity with FAA 145 repair station or military aviation standards Additional Requirements High school diploma or GED (formal avionics training or A&P a plus) Must pass: 10-year Federal Criminal Background Check FAA DOT drug test Basic medical physical Reliable personal transportation required
