The A&P Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as various inspections on corporate business jet aircraft including Pilatus, Citation, and King Air turbo prop, and general aviation. Also provides line maintenance for airlines at Portland International Jetport (PWM). Requirements Authorized to work in the United States Ability to communicate effectively, orally and written High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required Ability to pass a DOT FAA pre-employment drug screen and physical Hold a valid driver's license Troubleshooting skills and knowledge of aircraft mechanical and electrical system functions Working knowledge of FAA regulations and inspection procedures Computer proficiency and working knowledge of spreadsheets Ability to function well while maintaining accuracy under pressure and time constraints Flexibility, as needed, to accommodate external and internal customer needs Ability to solve problems independently Willingness to accept various shift assignments to include nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary Possess organizational skills, active listening skills, time management, and attention to detail Experience maintaining aircraft post A&P certification preferred Experience with airline aircraft line maintenance preferred Experience with avionics line maintenance preferred Ability to lift aircraft components up to 75 lbs Physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping Job and company information not to be copied, shared, scraped, or otherwise disseminated without explicit consent of JSfirm, LLC.
