If you're tired of being a number on a shift sheet, this isn't that job. We're a small GA piston shop where the owners know your name, your work matters, and customers respect you. What we offer is a place where good mechanics are treated like the skilled professionals they are. Doing things safely, legally, and with integrity isn't a policy here — it's just how we operate. We don't cut corners, and we don't ask our mechanics to either.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform and sign off annual inspections on GA piston aircraft
  • Approve aircraft for return to service per 14 CFR Part 43.9 and 43.11
  • Review and approve logbook entries, work orders, and 337 forms
  • Identify and disposition applicable ADs and service bulletins
  • Communicate airworthiness findings clearly to aircraft owners
  • Support and oversee A&P mechanics during inspection workloads
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Why our mechanics stay:
  • Ownership that puts people first — our owners make decisions based on what's right for the team, not just the bottom line. You'll feel that difference on your first day.
  • A shop culture worth showing up for — collaborative, low-drama, and built on mutual respect. We work hard and we look out for each other.
  • Your work is your own — no assembly-line maintenance, no anonymous sign-offs. You own your jobs start to finish, the way it should be.
  • Flexible scheduling — full time and part time positions available.
Life happens; we get it.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly base rate commensurate with experience, plus an IA stipend. We also believe good work should be rewarded beyond the base rate — mechanics who are productive and take pride in their work will see that reflected in their pay. Job Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate — required
  • Active, current Inspection Authorization (IA) — required
  • Minimum 5 years of GA piston aircraft maintenance experience post-A&P certification
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Lycoming and/or Continental piston engines
  • Demonstrated experience performing and signing off annual inspections per 14 CFR Part 43
  • Solid working knowledge of common GA airframes — Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, Mooney, or similar
  • Thorough understanding of ADs, service bulletins, TCDS, and FAA-approved maintenance data
  • Experience completing logbook entries, 337 forms, and return-to-service documentation
  • Able to work independently and manage time on billable jobs with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license; able to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engine overhaul and/or top overhaul experience on Lycoming or Continental engines
  • Experience with major repairs, alterations, and FAA field approvals
  • Comfortable training or mentoring less experienced A&P mechanics Job Ident #: Apply Now Company Details MJ Aviation Innovations, LLC.
