Ground Support Equipment Mechanic Championship Enterprises Inc - 4.3 Fort Bragg, NC Job Details Full-time From $35.23 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Tanker Unloading CDL A Electrical troubleshooting Mechanical troubleshooting Tanker Endorsement Full Job Description Principal Accountabilities The Ground Support Equipment Mechanic This mechanic maintains external fuel and grounding systems, performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation, services. Diagnoses mechanical, electronic circuitry, and hydraulic systems for malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications. Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls. Mechanic maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records, provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment. Support aircraft maintenance and flying operations, practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times. Cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories, stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications, stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations. Knowledge & Skills Working knowledge of GCSS-Army and SAMS. Ability to follow all local and contract by safety procedures. Additional knowledge and skills will vary accordingly by assignment within and across contracts. Experience & Education Class A CDL with Tanker Hazmat preferred. Previous experience as a mechanic in the Military. Physical Requirements/Working Environment Ability to stand for extended periods of time and possibly drive long distances. Ability to load and unload materials and equipment, which requires heavy lifting of 50 lbs. minimum, carrying, and walking.
