Job Summary
Position Summary

Aeronautical Technologies Inc is seeking a dependable, safety-focused A&P Aircraft Mechanic to support our agricultural aviation and aerial firefighting operations in Clovis, New Mexico. The mechanic will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company aircraft in accordance with FAA requirements, manufacturer guidance, and company procedures. This role is well suited for a hands-on aviation professional who works carefully, communicates clearly, and can help keep mission-critical aircraft ready for service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements on company aircraft.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and related aircraft system issues using approved technical data and sound maintenance practices.
  • Maintain fixed-wing aircraft and, when qualified, assist with helicopter maintenance.
  • Complete maintenance records, logbook entries, work orders, and inspection documentation accurately and on time.
  • Follow FAA regulations, manufacturer maintenance manuals, service information, company procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Support aircraft readiness during agricultural and firefighting operations, including time-sensitive maintenance needs.
  • Maintain an organized work area and properly care for tools, equipment, parts, and materials.
  • Coordinate with pilots, maintenance personnel, and operations staff regarding aircraft status and return-to-service needs.
  • Travel to field locations or operational bases as needed and available.
    Requirements
    Required Qualifications
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to read and apply maintenance manuals, technical publications, diagrams, and regulatory guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, compliant work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a changing operational environment.
  • Ability to provide personal tools appropriate for the position.
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience maintaining fixed-wing aircraft equipped with turbine engines. Air Tractor 802 experience is preferred.
  • Helicopter maintenance experience. Bell 206 and Airbus AS350 experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting agricultural aviation, aerial firefighting, utility, or other special-mission aircraft operations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for field maintenance or seasonal operations.
  • Fire season travel (June - September)
  • Not required: Class A CDL with hazmat, air brakes, doubles, and tanker endorsements are a bonus
    Work Environment and Physical Requirements
    This position may involve work in hangars, outdoors, and at field locations.

Duties may require standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, working around aircraft and operating equipment, and lifting aircraft parts, tools, or materials. The successful candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position safely, with reasonable accommodation where applicable. Work schedules may vary based on operational and seasonal needs.

Benefits

Full-time employees medical starts at half employee expense for the first year and then covered in full by the employer.

Two week of paid vacation starting after the first three months of employment is afforded to all full time employees.
