AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC

(WG-8602-10), you will certify acceptable performance, test, repair, trouble-shoot, operionally check and modify aircraft turbine and auxiliary power units, and associed propulsion system components. It also covers work involving engine accessories such as starters, generors, anti-icers, and fuel control devices when such assignments are incidental to work on the completed engine. Works also involves the review of engine/component records to determine cause of failure and the extent of disassembly and repair required in returning engine and/or component to operional condition. Qualificions Military Grades :

ENLISTED GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: Experience or training th has provided the ability to perform assembly and disassembly operions and make prescribed modificions to aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and accessories in accordance with technical specificions, procedures, and requirements. Experience using hand and power tools common to the trade.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Must have 18 months experience or training performing standard, routine assembly and disassembly operions and making prescribed modificions to aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and accessories. Experience or training performing maintenance overhaul, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft engines, engine components, and powertrains for fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft. Experience determining maintenance needed from work orders, inspection reports, historical records, and diagnosis.
