Job Summary
The A&P Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, preserving, maintaining, and overhauling aircraft, aircraft systems, and components in accordance with company policies, FAA regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with FAA procedures on Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
Execute scheduled, unscheduled, and troubleshooting tasks; conduct preflight, postflight, and periodic inspections to confirm airworthiness.
Remove, repair, and install components including engines, landing gear, flight controls, hydraulic systems, and basic avionics.
Complete assigned work within established labor hour budgets and time constraints.
Accurately document all maintenance activities in compliance with FAA requirements, RSQM/AS9100, DCMA 8210-1D, and applicable manufacturer publications.
Adhere to all safety practices, tool-control guidelines, FOD prevention procedures, and equipment inspection requirements.
Review approved maintenance data and system operation descriptions prior to troubleshooting or corrective action.
Coordinate with pilots, engineers, and maintenance personnel to support operational and dispatch needs.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are serviceable and calibrated prior to use.
Perform additional duties as assigned; occasional travel may be required.
Pay & Schedule
Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
Split per diem available for eligible employees.
5x8's Schedule Contract-to-hire position.
Requirements
Valid Airframe & Powerplant Certificate (A&P) required.
Experience with Boeing B737 Required Minimum of 3 years of experience as a certified A&P Mechanic, preferably with Boeing and Airbus experience
Heavy check or major inspection experience is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required; completion of an FAA-approved A&P school preferred.
