Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Select correct parts, materials, tools, hardware, and assemblies to install, fit, fasten, align, and adjust structural components using production and engineering drawings Perform pre-installation assembly work to ensure accurate structural component installation Identify and report job constraints, including workmanship errors, defective parts or materials, tooling issues, and procedural discrepancies in accordance with procedures Perform repairs, rework, functional checks, and incorporate authorized changes as directed by the Lead Remove and replace installed components and related parts as required Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering instructions, and dispositions Maintain strict safety compliance, including use of required PPE at all times Uphold exemplary housekeeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards Perform mechanical and cosmetic rework, adjustments, replacements, and calibrations on aircraft interiors and systems, including galleys, lavatories, stowage units, seating, hydraulic systems, fiber optic systems, and aircraft doors Install, file, sand, paint, and finish decorative laminate (declam) materials Communicate professionally with suppliers and customers Use basic computer systems and applications Stand for extended periods and work in elevated or confined spaces as required
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Machine setup, machining, welding setup/welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication Composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly Precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly Power plant and drivetrain assembly, repair, or modification Soldering of electronic or avionics components Wire harness and avionics assembly and installation Test article, fixture, and data collection device preparation Organic chemical conversion and paint preparation Application of organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance Work on low-complexity articles following established drawings and requirements Fabrication experience required (aerospace not required; shipbuilding, automotive, or manufacturing acceptable) Aerospace systems experience preferred, including filing, sanding, painting, decorative laminate application, and cosmetic rework Experience with aircraft systems such as waste and potable water, hydraulics, ICS, PECS, and duct installation Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
