This role covers the full scope of GA piston aircraft upkeep—inspections, diagnosis, system servicing, and return-to-service documentation—carried out with the precision and regulatory discipline the work demands. Core Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive airframe and engine inspections in strict alignment with FAA mandates and OEM maintenance schedules. Isolate, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical, electrical, fuel, and hydraulic system discrepancies across various piston platforms. Service and overhaul piston powerplants and associated mechanical subsystems to maintain fleet flight-readiness. Log all maintenance activities, work orders, and FAA airworthiness releases with meticulous accuracy. Enforce safety protocols and quality control guidelines across every assigned work order without compromise. Coordinate seamlessly with fellow hangar technicians to optimize workflow and support flight line schedules. Minimum Prerequisites Active, unencumbered FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate in good standing. Verifiable hands-on experience maintaining general aviation piston aircraft. Preferred Attributes Direct hands-on experience maintaining Cirrus airframes and systems. Thorough working knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91, as well as manufacturer maintenance manuals. Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical blueprints.
