Job Description
-JOB SUMMARY- Join our dynamic team as an Aviation Maintenance Technician and become a vital contributor to ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of aircraft. In this energetic role, you will perform comprehensive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on various aircraft systems, utilizing advanced tools and technical skills. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for skilled professionals passionate about aviation technology and maintenance excellence. -RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and related systems in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and applicable manufacturer publications. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues using schematics, CAD drawings, and root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying problems efficiently. Perform repairs and fabrication tasks involving sheet metal work, soldering, and the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Utilize equipment repair skills with tools such as multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure precise component functionality. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. Assist in assembly or disassembly of aircraft components during overhaul or troubleshooting processes while adhering to strict safety protocols. Execute heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate techniques and equipment to handle large or heavy aircraft parts or materials. Maintain a clean and hazard-free workplace. -QUALIFICATIONS- Proven experience in aircraft or vehicle maintenance with strong mechanical knowledge across airframe, powerplant, and avionics systems. FAA A&P certificate required. Proficiency in reading schematics, schematics interpretation, CAD software (such as CATIA), and other technical drawings. Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes including fabrication, sheet metal work, soldering, and equipment repair. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) related to aircraft maintenance. Electrical experience with troubleshooting using multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during inspections or repairs. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis for complex issues involving avionics or mechanical systems. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation is preferred. Ability to follow directions is required. Interest in learning and participating in hands-on on-the-job learning is required. Must be a self-starter who can work independently, as well as collaborate with others when needed. Must be able to use discretion and prioritize customer privacy. Valid passport is preferred, but not required. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from work is required. Availability to work Monday-Friday 0630-1530 is required. Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including, but not limited to, background check and drug test. Prior military or aviation sector experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Relevant hands-on mechanic experience is mandatory. Knowledge and/or experience with Piaggio Avanti aircraft, specifically the P-180 is advantageous. HS Diploma or GED required. 3+ years of Aviation Maintenance experience required. 2+ years of Customer Service experience preferred, but not required. -PAY & BENEFITS- Pay Rate Based on Experience!
