Job Requirements Randolph AFB, TX Secret Polygraph not specified Mid Level Career (5+ yrs experience) Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description he purpose of this effort is to provide inspection, maintenance and handling support for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to the 575 AMXS, Joint-Base San Antonio-Randolph (JBSA-Randolph) Air Force Base (AFB), in support of theT-38 workload. The mechanic should be skilled labor in support of production operations for depot maintenance IAW the Minimum Team Compliment (MTC) as shown in Table 2.3. This requirement will not include personal services or inherently governmental functions. The mechanic shall perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on designated GSE. Maintenance shall include but is not limited to: Inspects, tests, and operates equipment to determine serviceability and proper functions Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion and assembles Performs precision alignments and other precision measuring devices, and reinstalls equipment accessories and components Stencils and marks equipment Services equipment with grease, oil, hydraulic fluid, pressurized gases, etc. as required Diagnose malfunctions and perform common repairs on assigned equipment Diagnose mechanical, pneudraulic and electronic circuitry malfunctions using, but not limited to visual and auditory senses, and test equipment before assigning repair action Inspect and approves completed maintenance actions Prepares equipment for storage, shipment, and transport Solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical publications The mechanic must have knowledge of: Principles of electricity, electronics, general mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, material properties, and causes/types of corrosion Troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and modifying equipment Use of automated maintenance systems Application of maintenance management techniques Interpretation of maintenance directives, technical publications, drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics; and proper identification, handling, use and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
