Trains reservists in the accomplishment of duties and responsibilities set forth herein.

DUTIES:
DUTY 1: Performs work planning responsibilities. Plans use of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a daily or by project basis. DUTY 2: Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. Observes work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems, reassign personnel within group supervised, and coordinates work among workers and other supervisors to maintain work progress to meet schedules. Inspects completed work for quality and work order requirements. Reports possible or actual work delays to superiors. DUTY 3: Performs administration responsibilities. Directly supervises production of active duty maintenance personnel and provides full supervision to all ARTs in the Flight assigned to shift. DUTY 4: Applies Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)/Equal Opportunity Treatment (EOT) principles and requirements to all personnel management actions and decisions, and ensures all personnel are treated in a manner free of discrimination. Serves as technical advisor to Flight Chief in the resolution of production problems. Reserve training. Administers the reserve training and quality programs for flight ensuring consistent standards throughout the flight for traditional reservists and ARTs. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WS-8800 Aircraft Overhaul Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in UTAs. The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. May be required to fly in commercial and military aircraft to perform temporary/permanent duty assignments. The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
