FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic (General Aviation Aircraft Maintenance)

Competitive Salary (Based on Experience) About the Role Seeking an FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and servicing of aircraft to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have experience working on general aviation aircraft, including single and twin reciprocating engine aircraft, while adhering to FAA regulations and maintenance standards. Key Responsibilities Perform aircraft maintenance inspections, including 100-hour inspections and pre-buy inspections. Assist with annual inspections and regulatory compliance requirements. Troubleshoot and repair aircraft discrepancies and mechanical issues. Perform preventative maintenance and general aircraft servicing. Complete work orders, maintenance records, logbook entries, and time sheets accurately. Maintain compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures. Coordinate parts requirements and communicate maintenance needs. Maintain tools, equipment, and hangar organization. Required Qualifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Experience performing aircraft inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft systems, engines, and airframes. Ability to maintain accurate maintenance documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining General Aviation aircraft. Experience with single and twin reciprocating engine aircraft. Inspection Authorization (IA) Certification preferred. Experience assisting with annual inspections. Client Expectations Hands-on mechanic with strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities. Comfortable working independently and as part of a maintenance team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
