The Aircraft Appearance Technician (AT) is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of managed aircraft and associated facilities through comprehensive interior and exterior aircraft detailing, hangar maintenance, specialty cleaning activities, and other assigned housekeeping duties in support of safe and professional flight operations. This position reports to the Aircraft Maintenance Manager (AMM) and is part of the FJ900 organization located in Washington, DC (Dulles) and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Perform Aircraft Cleaning and Detailing Operations Maintain the cleanliness and presentation standards of four managed Global 6500 aircraft by performing post-flight cleaning, exterior surface care including Teflon coating applications, brightwork metal polishing, interior detailing, and carpet cleaning to ensure aircraft remain in pristine condition. Support Hangar Facility Maintenance and Housekeeping Operate and maintain hangar cleaning equipment, including daily use of the hangar floor cleaning machine, while ensuring hangar and support areas are safe, clean, organized, and compliant with operational and safety standards. Execute Specialty Cleaning and Related Support Duties Conduct routine polishing and care of aircraft silverware on a weekly basis and perform additional cleaning, detailing, and facility support tasks as assigned to maintain exceptional service standards for flight operations and passengers. The essential requirements of the job include: Experience in Cleaning, Detailing, or Facility Maintenance Previous experience in aircraft detailing, automotive detailing, hospitality, janitorial services, facility maintenance, or a related field preferred. Ability to Perform Physical Work Safely and Efficiently Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies, work in varying hangar environments, and safely use cleaning chemicals, machinery, and personal protective equipment. Strong Attention to Detail and Commitment to Quality Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, appearance, and organization while following established procedures and completing tasks with accuracy and consistency.
