  Prop Culture Maintenance (PCM) is seeking an experienced, motivated A&P Mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA) to join our growing aviation maintenance operation as Director of Maintenance (DOM).

This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in building a high-quality general aviation maintenance facility from the ground up. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, understands the importance of regulatory compliance, and wants the opportunity to help shape the culture, processes, and capabilities of a growing maintenance business.

About Prop Culture Maintenance

Prop Culture Maintenance is an expanding general aviation maintenance facility located at Olympia Regional Airport (KOLM). We support our own flight-school and managed aircraft while providing maintenance services to outside aircraft owners and operators.

Our operation is growing, and we are looking for a DOM who can provide strong technical leadership while remaining actively involved in aircraft maintenance.

Position:

Director of Maintenance

• A&P/IA
  The DOM will be responsible for the overall technical and operational leadership of the maintenance department, including ensuring that aircraft maintenance is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, manufacturer instructions, and company procedures.

This is a working DOM position. The ideal candidate will spend time both managing the maintenance operation and performing hands-on maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary maintenance leader for Prop Culture Maintenance.

Maintain overall responsibility for maintenance quality, regulatory compliance, and safety.

Perform and supervise aircraft inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and alterations.

Perform annual, 100-hour, and other inspections within the scope of your IA privileges and qualifications.

Approve aircraft for return to service when authorized.

Ensure maintenance records and logbook entries are complete, accurate, and compliant with FAA requirements.

Develop and maintain company maintenance procedures and inspection processes.

Coordinate maintenance schedules for company aircraft and customer aircraft.

Manage maintenance priorities, workflow, and technician assignments.

Review aircraft discrepancies and determine appropriate corrective actions.

Assist with maintenance planning, parts procurement, and vendor coordination.

Maintain appropriate relationships with aircraft owners, customers, vendors, and FAA personnel.

Mentor and provide technical direction to A&P technicians.

Establish and maintain a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and quality workmanship.

Ensure compliance with applicable 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, 91, and other applicable regulations.

Stay current with applicable Airworthiness Directives, service bulletins, manufacturer maintenance data, and FAA guidance.

Assist with developing the maintenance department as the company continues to expand.

What We're Looking For

Required:

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.

Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).

Demonstrated general aviation maintenance experience.

Strong understanding of FAA maintenance regulations and documentation requirements.

Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve aircraft maintenance issues.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Professional communication and customer-service skills.

Ability to lead technicians while maintaining a hands-on role.

Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

Experience working on Diamond

DA40/DA42

aircraft.

Experience with Lycoming, Continental, or Austro diesel engines.

Experience with modern glass avionics.

Experience in a flight-school or aircraft-rental environment.

Previous Director of Maintenance, Lead A&P, or Shop Manager experience.

Experience developing maintenance programs, inspection procedures, or shop processes.

Experience working with multiple aircraft owners and customer aircraft.

Ability to work under the direction of the Director of Maintenance

Working knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance documentation requirements

Proficiency in troubleshooting airframe and powerplant systems

Ability to perform inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance (annuals, 100-hour, etc.)

Strong attention to detail with a high standard for safety and workmanship

Ability to work independently and as part of a small, fast-paced maintenance team

Good communication and professionalism in a customer-facing environment

Must be eligible to work in the United States
