The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' facilities, personnel, and assets. This role requires a strong understanding of security systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. The technician will work closely with various teams to maintain a secure environment and respond to incidents as they arise. Responsibilities Lead the installation of access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, and structured cabling. Lead junior technicians on the stages of an install and act as the first line of quality assurance on a jobsite. Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and facilities to identify vulnerabilities or areas for improvement. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to perform repairs and maintenance on security devices. Interpret schematics related to security systems for installation or troubleshooting purposes. Assist in locksmithing tasks, including rekeying locks and installing new locking mechanisms. Provide training and support to clients on the use of their systems. Document incidents, maintenance activities, and system updates accurately. Qualifications Proven experience in a security-related role or as a service technician in the field of security systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively. Familiarity with computer hardware relevant to security systems is preferred. Knowledge of fire alarm systems, IDS, locksmithing, and schematics is highly desirable.
Industry certifications:
ESA, AESBL, BICSI
Vendor certifications: CCure9000 , DMP, Verkada, Alarm.com, Brivo are a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective telecommunication with team members and external agencies. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
