In this energetic role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure our clients' safety, security, and connectivity are optimized with precision and professionalism. Duties Install, configure, and service low voltage systems including access control, LAN cabling, camera systems, intercom and paging systems, and automatic gate controllers. interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute system designs. Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues with computer networking, telecommunication lines, security hardware, and related electrical components. Perform cabling tasks using power tools and hand tools to run wires for low voltage systems, sensors, and communication networks. Test system functionality using remote access software and diagnostic tools; ensure all components operate seamlessly within the overall system design. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure proper integration of low voltage infrastructure. Maintain detailed service records, update system documentation, and communicate technical findings clearly to clients or team members. Skills Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and telecommunication systems for reliable data transmission. Mechanical aptitude combined with experience using hand tools and power tools for installation tasks. Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to low voltage systems. Hands-on experience with CCTV cameras, sensors (motion detectors, door/window contacts), and intercom/ paging equipment. Electrical experience related to cabling (category cables, conduit wiring), NEC (National Electrical Code) standards compliance, and power distribution. Construction experience beneficial for integrating low voltage infrastructure into building projects. Service technician experience preferred to ensure prompt troubleshooting and customer satisfaction. Knowledge of cutting in strikes for lock control systems integration is a plus.
