Your expertise will help protect businesses from fire hazards by installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing kitchen hood fire suppression systems. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge fire suppression technology, collaborate with clients, and develop your skills in system design and field service. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen hood fire suppression systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire suppression systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with local codes. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design drawings, and CAD files to accurately install and service systems. Perform construction inspections related to system installation, ensuring adherence to plans, schematics, and building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code). Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations and repairs efficiently. Collaborate with clients during system commissioning, providing technical guidance on system operation and maintenance. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation for each job performed. Skills Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire suppression systems. Mechanical knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting, sensors, low voltage electrical components, and alarm systems. Experience with system design principles using CAD software; understanding of schematics and electrical wiring diagrams. Familiarity with construction inspection processes and adherence to safety standards. Hands-on experience with field service tasks involving hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting equipment. Knowledge of fire alarm systems sales processes and fire suppression sales strategies is a plus. CSA, NICET or Manufacturer Certifications a plus
