Commercial Fire Sprinkler Service Technician American Backflow and Fire Prevention Inc Peoria, AZ Job Details Full-time $28 - $47 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Paid holidays Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Phoenix, Arizona American Backflow & Fire Prevention is a growing commercial fire protection company seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to perform inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and limited installation work on commercial fire sprinkler systems throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. This position is primarily focused on service work, inspections, and repairs, with occasional tenant improvement projects and system installations. We are looking for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, and understands the importance of thorough documentation.
Position Overview Approximately:
80-90% inspections, service, repairs, and troubleshooting 10-20% tenant improvements and installation work This role requires a technician who can work independently, identify deficiencies, communicate recommendations to customers, and provide accurate documentation to support compliance and billing. Responsibilities Perform NFPArequired fire sprinkler inspections and testing Diagnose and repair deficiencies in wet, dry, preaction, and special hazard systems Troubleshoot sprinkler system issues and recommend corrective actions Complete service reports, deficiency reports, and inspection documentation accurately and completely Communicate findings and recommendations professionally with customers Maintain consistent communication with office staff regarding job status, parts needs, scheduling changes, and project updates Perform limited tenant improvement and installation work as required Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment Follow all company and safety procedures Preferred Qualifications Minimum 3 years of commercial fire sprinkler experience Experience performing inspections, service, and repairs Knowledge of NFPA 13, 25, and related fire protection codes Ability to read plans and system drawings Strong troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Highly Desired Experience with kitchen hood suppression systems Experience with fire pumps Backflow certification
