Job Description:
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Designer / Consultant to support complex, high-priority projects-including large-scale industrial and manufacturing facilities. You will lead system design, perform technical reviews, and provide on-site oversight to ensure code compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering:
Lead full-cycle design for fire alarm and mass notification systems, including device layouts, riser diagrams, sequences of operation, and battery/voltage calculations.
Project Oversight:
Act as a technical lead during construction and commissioning; perform site surveys, review contractor submittals, and witness system testing.
Consulting & Collaboration:
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and AHJs, to communicate technical findings and ensure project milestones are met.
Compliance:
Ensure all designs and installations meet NFPA and local building codes.
Qualifications Experience:
5+ years in fire alarm design, consulting, or inspection.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD.
Certifications:
NICET Level II (or higher) in Fire Alarm Systems is strongly preferred.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of
NFPA 72, NFPA
70, and IBC; experience with mass notification or integrated life safety systems is a plus.
