As an Security Technician with NETSIAN Technologies, you will be responsible for handling installation, terminating, troubleshooting and configuration of access control systems, video surveillance systems, such as card readers, request to exits, electrified door hardware, access control panels, analog and IP cameras, camera servers (NVR), power supplies, cable pathway systems and various cable that includes but is not limited to: twisted pair cable, low voltage cable and coax. Our ideal Security Technician thrives on analyzing and solving problems and providing premium customer service. Servicing and installing access control systems, video surveillance equipment, and related devices such as media converters, managed and unmanaged network switches, sensors, electric locks, wireless locks, and other applicable force protection equipment and intrusion detection systems and associated devices. Performing a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling troubleshooting equipment and systems including but not limited to access controls, video surveillance, intrusion and other low voltage systems. Performs access control, video surveillance and/or intrusion system programs and commissions new system installations. Apply practical knowledge of electronic principles and electronic security codes and standards to isolate malfunctions using diagnostic tools and techniques Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the security equipment identified by the task order and repair faulty equipment to an operating condition. Knowledge of fiber optic and category cable installation and terminations. Installation, documenting maintenance actions, updating drawings, time distribution, manage multiple projects at one time, managing projects and people on the projects, understand scope of work and execute, able to think and troubleshoot on their own, able to follow written and verbal instructions and carry them out as directed Your experience in the following areas will drive your success in this role. 4+ years of industry experience and/or servicing electronic, or mechanical systems in the Low Voltage industry Knowledgeable in Low Voltage systems and controls theory, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques Strong computer/software skillset including use of MS Excel/Word/Project Knowledge of UL/NEC standards, electrical codes, and basic wiring concepts Benefits We are an Employee-Owned Company.
